The Buoys

The Buoys

The Buoys blasted out of the local punk rock scene, and in just a few short years, released three EPs together, playing sold-out shows across the country that have earned them a devoted following and engrained this Sydney based all-female rock band into Australian music culture. From coming in at #85 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2021 with ‘Lie To Me Again’, to touring with the likes of The Dandy Warhols, Arctic Monkeys, DMA’S and Ball Park Music, The Buoys themselves are devoted to playing high-octane shows, and as a result have cemented their place as an unmissable live show experience.

2023 was a huge year for The Buoys, having recorded their debut album ‘Insert Title Here’ and releasing singles ‘I Want You’ and ‘Fight Back Time’, the latter a collaboration with Norway’s Sløtface. Both singles received full adds on Triple J rotation, and saw both domestic and international playlisting, including Local Noise covers and an Indielista cover (Norway) as well as NMF (Aus, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark). It wouldn’t be The Buoys without squeezing in extensive touring around such major projects. 2023 has seen The Buoys play shows with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, DMAs, Royal Blood, IDLES and embark on the Spilt Milk festival tour, they are after all a live band that lives and breathes live music.
