Beddy Rays started making music together soon after they forged a friendship on their primaryschool oval back in the day. The release of weekend anthem ‘Sobercoaster’ in 2020 really startedshaking things up for these fun-loving larrikins. The cracker of a tune has now received Goldcertification, amassed over 15 million streams and echoed throughout backyards of Australia duringtriple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020.

In 2025, the band released their sophomore record Do What Ya Wanna, which debuted at #1Australian Album and achieved #1 Vinyl on the ARIA charts, solidifying their status as one of thenation’s most exciting acts.

Their highly anticipated and fully independent debut album was released in July 2022 and achieved#1 Vinyl and #2 Australian Album on the ARIA charts, as well as securing the band a BreakthroughArtist nomination at the 2022 ARIA Awards, marking a major milestone in the band’s career. Thesuccess of the album’s lead single ‘Handful’ further cemented the four-piece as one of the country’smost beloved bands, securing them their second appearance in the triple j Hottest 100.

In 2024 they won the Rock Award at the Queensland Music Awards, with further nominations atthe Queensland Music Awards and National Indigenous Music Awards, and as recipients of the Levi’sMusic Prize, their talent and energy continue to gain well-deserved recognition. Their powerfulrendition of Thelma Plum’s ‘Better in Blak’ for triple j's Like A Version added another memorablemoment to their repertoire.

Known for their electrifying live performances, Beddy Rays have lit up hundreds of stages acrossAustralia in recent years, including prime festival slots at Falls Festival, Spilt Milk, Splendour in theGrass, and Play on the Plains.

These days it’s almost impossible not to recognise a Beddys track, as their music has become acarefully curated recipe involving all the right ingredients: heartfelt lyrics, huge hooks, mosh-worthyriffs and a lingering sense of comradery and good vibes that underpins everything they create.
