Kim Churchill

Kim Churchill continues with the 3rd release from his 4 EP Collection; I Am Forgetting The End Again. Having already delivered I Am (recorded in Berlin) and Forgetting (recorded on Vancouver Island, Canada), Kim continues with the unique release of a four part series with The End (recorded in the Blue Mountains, Australia). The first single Nothing Nothing is due for release August 13th and represents a more collaborative and communal moment in the series. The song was written a lifetime ago in the lounge room of a friend’s apartment in Montreal, Quebec with his best friend and artistic collaborator Ben Gumbleton (Boo Seeka). Having returned to Australia for the writing and recording of the 3rd EP, Kim felt strongly about reviving the song and performing it with Ben. The track was laid down in a cosy mountain studio with producer Ian Pritchett and even includes field recordings of Kim and Ben from the edge of a beautiful gorge at sunrise. The song deals with the ongoing movement of touring artists and the liberation they often feel at constantly travelling from place to place. the travel asks an artist to remain open and free to the ever changing environments around them and the effect and inspiration that can draw.
